The Relaxacare Scam In Burlington
This store is the most terrible experience I had ever bought from. Relaxacare’s scam made possible by the owner Jason Perricone, is to charge us full price ($6,000 – $12,000 USD) up front for the massage chairs instead of taking a deposit, and then drag out the shipping and delivery past the chargeback period. He gets us to second guess our order long enough until we want to cancel, then he tries to get restocking fees from us and sell the same massage chair to someone else.
He waits until close to chargeback period ending to even send a tracking number, and then when you try and cancel your order and get a refund because the chair never arrives he then charges each customer a 15%-25% restocking fee to cancel the order. He relies on the CIBC rules to get out of it being stealing from customers.
Seems normal right? Every store has return policies as he claims. No. This is not normal.
The merchandise has never left the warehouse, and Perricone tries to charge customers a $1,800 CAD restocking fee and resell the same chair to someone else and repeat the process over and over collecting thousands of return policy fees for items that were never shipped out.
This is a scam. Local Canadians like us are being taken advantage and businesses like this need to be stopped!!!
At first I thought we were just being paranoid. But a month after purchasing and still no items had shipped or tracking info, I started searching online. I made a dumb choice and bought from Relaxacare because felt safe because they had a local store. It was a mistake but we shouldn’t be treated like this.
We can take a stand together and put a stop to this.
These types of predatory businesses should not be allowed to operate in Ontario. We had saved for months to be able to afford this for my husbands low back issues, and now we are so frustrated that Relaxacare has thousands of our dollars, the owner threatens us, we have no massage chair.
Now we have to deal with the bank to dispute this charge and start all over. We don’t have our money or our chair.
Buyer beware fellow Canadians, this store employees and it’s owner seem warm and welcoming until they make their sale. They they turn nasty, and you’re forced to see the other side of them.
They have every story in the book to protect themselves and hide what they really do to customers. But this is theft. This company needs to be stopped from stealing from Canadians. My granddaughter is in cyber security and will see to it so this does not happen to more local Canadians!
